Anthony Elias takes reins of Blue Mountain Men's Basketball

Blue Mountain Community College has named Anthony Elias as the new Men’s Basketball Coach.  Anthony comes to Blue Mountain Community College from Seward Nebraska where he has been the Head Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach at Condordia University since 2006. 

Anthony was the head coach at Mt. Pleasant High School, San Jose, California in 2004 – 2006 and prior to that he was the Head Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach at Cuyamaca College in El Cajon, California from 2000-2002.  

Anthony graduated from Cuyamaca College with his Associate of Arts, his Bachelor of Arts from Concordia University and his Master of Arts in Sports Leadership from Concordia University, Chicago. 

Over the last three years of coaching at Concordia University, their team has been ranked in the NAIA Division II top 25 for each of the last three seasons and has also been honored as an NAIA Scholar Team after each of those 3 seasons. 

Coach Elias is looking forward to the opportunity presented to him at BMCC.
