Spokane alum Tyler Blakely wins NAIA Indoor High Jump Championship

Blakeley wins national high jump title

PITTSBURG, Kan. Lewis-Clark State College's Tyler Blakeley cleared six feet, 10 inches to win the NAIA Indoor High Jump Championship Friday afternoon.

Blakeley, a junior from Spokane (Freeman High School by way of Community Colleges of Spokane), won by 1 inches over Qua Stocks of Reinhardt. In the dual between the meet's final two jumpers, Blakeley had one miss on the way to 6-9. He missed twice 6-10 before clearing the winning height, while Stocks knocked down the bar on all three of attempts.

Blakeley was a two-year standout at Spokane, winning the NWAC High Jump Championship in 2017 with a jump of 6’9 1/2”.
