Pierce College to host WIAA 2A volleyball tourney

The Class 2A volleyball state tournament is on the move again – Pierce College will host the two-day event in the fall.

The Washington Interscholastic Activities Association’s Executive Board approved the decision to move the tournament from The Evergreen State College at its monthly meeting in mid-March.

The 2A tournament will be played Nov. 9-10.

Pierce College will be the site for all first-round matches, championship bracket matches and Saturday matches. First-day consolation matches will be played at Lakes High School.

The tournament format will remain the same – a 16-team, modified double-elimination bracket.

The 4A and 3A tournaments will remain at Saint Martin’s University.
