Second class of the Pierce College Athletics Hall of Fame to be inducted April 28 at Pierce Fort Steilacoom in Lakewood

Five athletes, one coach, and two teams will be honored as members of the Class of 2012 of the Pierce College Athletics Hall of Fame at a special ceremony Saturday, April 28, at the Health Education Center at Pierce Fort Steilacoom in Lakewood.

The 2012 Hall of Fame ceremony will mark the second class of inductees, recognizing over 40 years of outstanding athletic achievements by student athletes at Pierce College, formerly Fort Steilacoom Community College. This year’s class will feature the 1991-92 and 1992-93 women’s basketball teams. Individual athletes to be inducted include Greg Howes (soccer), Kristen Kalalau (volleyball), Mario Lyons (baseball), Cari (Weber) Harrison, and Bernard Williams (basketball). Also to be inducted with this year’s class will be Ken Schutz (women’s basketball coach).
