SoftballSoftball News2012 NWAACC Softball BracketThe 2012 NWAACC Softball Bracket has been released by the NWAACC. This year marks the first time the NWAACC is using a seeding system. The seeding system was designed by the NWAACC Softball Committee which is comprised of coaches and administrators. As with past tournaments, the top four teams in each region qualify. Those sixteen teams are then seeded based on the following four criteria:
1. The teams overall winning percentage versus other NWAACC teams throughout the season. The goal of the seeding system is to rank teams based on their performance throughout the season against other NWAACC teams and specifically against other tournament qualifiers. The system also has procedures in place to adjust the schedule to avoid intra-region match-ups in the first round of the tournament. The number one for the 2012 NWAACC tournament will be Wenatchee Valley. Bellevue will be the second seed followed by Southwestern Oregon, Walla Walla, Clackamas and Highline. Below are the first round match-ups for the NWAACC softball tournament which starts Friday at Delta Park in Portland, Oregon. Friday, May 18
