Former Lane Titan sprinter signs with Oregon
Former Lane Community College sprint sensation, Chris Stubbs, recently transferred to the University of Oregon with a track and field scholarship.
Stubbs won the NWAACC 100 and 200 his freshman year in 2009 (10.66/21.25) In 2009, he also placed 5th in the 200 at the USATF Junior Nationals (21.26). Stubbs had his best year during his redshirt year at Lane running a 21.0 in the 200 and 46.89 in the 400.
He opened his sophomore season running the 400 in 48.29, and then injuries limited the rest of his 2011 season.
Stubbs is a junior in eligibility this spring.
He will be in familiar company as the Duck sprint roster currently boasts three former Titans; UO team captain Travis Thompson (2008), Bryan Harper (2009), and Jordan Latt (2011).
