Munoz appointed volleyball head coach at Umpqua

Roseburg, OR -- Jimmy Munoz,  A Southern California transplant from Mater Dai HS in Orange Co has taken the reins of the Umpqua Riverhawks volleyball program.   

Munoz has coached many California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) Championships teams in both girls and boys volleyball and is expected to make an impact for the Riverhawks in 2011.  He also has a wealth of experience with club Volleyball.

Munoz will also take on an academic role at Umpqua, teaching health and PE on a part time basis.

"We are lucky to have such a high caliber coach," said Umpqua athletic director Cheryl Yoder. "Please help us welcome him to the NWAACC".
