Men's Players of the Week (Week #3)

Northern Region
Jordan Ard, Bellevue
A sophomore forward from Prairie High School, Ard had a monster week. He averaged 20 points, 7 rebounds, 2 blocked shots and 2 assists, in three games, and shot 24-30 from the free throw line (80.0%). Ard led Bellevue to three victories, and helped the Bulldogs claim sole possession of first place in the Northern Region.

Eastern Region
Curtis Carlson, Walla Walla
Curtis is a sophomore guard from McGloughlin High School. He led the Warriors in huge wins over Spokane and Big Bend last week. Against an undefeated Big Bend team, Carlson scored 25 points, had eight rebounds and four assists. Walla Walla's Head Coach Jeff Reinland describes Carlson as "a great overall kid who is really humble. He gets the job done and lets his play do the talking." In the Eastern Region, Carlson is tied for the lead in scoring (23.2 ppg) and is third in rebounding (9.0 rpg).

Western Region
Derrick Webb, Highline
Derrick is sophomore guard from South Kitsap High School. Last week, he led the Thunderbirds in wins over South Puget Sound and Clark to stay within striking distance of Pierce. Webb had a good overall week scoring 49 points, grabbing 13 rebounds, dishing out nine assists, getting three blocks and four steals in two games. Head Coach Che Dawson says "Derrick is a young man who has matured tremendously in two years. His work ethic and personal accountability to leadership have really improved." In the Western Region, Webb is fifth in scoring (19.6 ppg).

Southern Region
Brian Freeman, Clackamas
Brian is a sophomore center from West Albany High School. He led the Cougars over a big win against Umpqua which gave Clackamas sole possession of first place in the South. Freeman had 30 points, 19 rebounds, two blocks and fours steals to lead his team. He leads the Southern Region in rebounding (12.8 rbp) and is sixth in scoring (19.4 ppg).
