Wenatchee Valley's Rachel Goetz and North Idaho's Corey Symons named Basketball Coaches of the Year

Goetz led the Knights to a second place finish in the East Region with a 13-3 record while going 28-5 overall. She skippered Wenatchee Valley past top-ranked Lane in the Final Four and defeated 3rd-ranked Umpqua 74-70 to claim the Knight’s fourth NWAC Championship.

Symons led his Cardinals to the 2019 East Region Title, a 31-2 overall record, going a perfect 16-0 in the East Region while claiming back-to-back NWAC Championships. He was also named East Region Coach of the Year.
North Idaho was dominate in many statistical categories including first in steals per game, rebound margin per game, lowest opponent’s field goal percentage, field goal percentage and points per game.
